About the Author
Chad Taylor was born in 1970 the first of three brothers. It was not until 17 years later, as a troubled teen on escape from a juvenile detention home and steeped in the occult and drugs, that Jesus took control of Chad’s life. After a dramatic salvation experience while watching TBN, Chad immediately began to preach the gospel on the city streets and shortly thereafter back in the juvenile institution from where he escaped. Consequently, that was the first genuine revival that he experienced as over two thirds of the prison’s population were saved. Since that time Chad has been the catalyst of numerous revivals that have impacted entire cities and lasted for months resulting in thousands of salvations. His articles and prophetic words have been circulated and read around the world, encouraging and equipping the Body of Christ. Currently Chad and his family reside in southwest Georgia where they are again experiencing a regional transformation and revival while traveling extensively across the nation and abroad.

FIRE, SMOKE OR ASHES, THE CHOICE IS OURS.

Chad Taylor, the author of this book is not your typical evangelist, for he has torn up his invitation from King Belshazzar by refusing to drink from golden goblets while the enemy is at the gate. Daniel 5:1-4. Obeying the great commission and defying the traditions of men, his harvest field of choice have always been the battlefields of the world, oftentimes snatching a soul from the very jaws of the devourer.
This book is not a pat you on the back, I'm okay, your okay, go away feeling better about yourself type of book. Yet if deep within you there still dwells a mighty man or woman of valor, the anointing found within its pages can take you from a limited harvest of threshing wheat by the wine press (confined within 4 walls) and set you down in fields that are ripe for a bountiful harvest. Judges 6:11-12
While reading this book I was reminded of how that on the day of Pentecost the 120 did not attach a steeple upon the upper room and call it a church, but how they took it to the streets and sparked a revival so powerful that thousands were added to the church in one day.
The author reminds us that the early church did not have large operating and advertizing budgets, but what they did have was power, and how that power started a revolution that changed the world. He knows and understands that a revival that begins within a church that has no outreach will quickly die out from a lack of Holy Ghost oxygen and available fuel, and that for a revival to become a raging inferno it must expand into its surrounding communities.
In closing I highly recommend this book. While reading it I came to the realization that instead of hiding my light under a bushel basket, that I had replaced the basket with 4 walls and a church roof. I now understand that lightning striking one tree upon a hill is no more then a torch unless it can incorporate other trees into its burning. Thanks Chad for fanning the flames of lasting revival.

Power and Passion

This book isn't just another book, it's power and passion. Are you a blood bought child of God? Buy it. It doesn't matter where you are coming from; if you have a heart for souls, or you are in a place of indifference and have given up... God will ignite you! It's packed with Bible verses, has some poetry, and is extremely well written. My fourteen year old remarked, "it's super easy to read and get in to". This book set a fire in my soul that put feet on my faith. I don't know why this isn't on a best sellers list. If you get to hear and meet this author, he usually doesn't have his books with him. You need to buy it here or go to his website. I've read a lot of Christian books the past three years, and this is the best!

amazing and heart wrenching

chad taylor tells it like it has never been told before. The Father's heart is breaking as people are perishing everyday. Chad breaks out of the confines of the traditional church and puts faith in action. Taking the gospel back to the streets, to the broken, and disenfranchised, he encourages us to do likewise. Amazing book that will challenge each believer to respond to the cry of the lost and bring them into the love and knowledge of Jesus Christ. Revivla tarries because we truly are not desperate for God
