Bill Johnson and his wife, Beni, are senior pastors of Bethel Church in Redding, California. Deception and Manipulation!

If you are thinking about buying this for your child or a child you know...DON'T!!! I did buy it thinking it was a good book for my daughter because after all it was written by Bill Johnson from Bethel church. I was completely wrong. It felt like, as my husband puts it, spiritual molestation! It is deceiving and manipulating children! Shame on you! Too much to go into details, if you don't believe me when I say these teaching are from something else other than God...as Christ taught, test it yourself...look into Bethel church and Bill Johnson, Randy Clark, Todd Bentley and all the other man commissioned Apostles! Look into Sozo and Heidi Baker and what she believes. Look into Toronto Blessings, Jesus Culture, or Global Awakenings, they are all drinking from the same cup. Seek and you shall find...THE TRUTH!! Please for the sake of a child, DO NOT, get them mixed into this deception. It is a revival that true followers of Christ will see right through to every last lie and manipulation. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS BOOK!!

About the Author
Tommy grew up in poverty in a welfare family. His alcoholic father was violently abusive and in and out of prison due to drunkenness and illegal activities. His mother was completely illiterate, but she knew Tommy was going to be a “preacher man someday because God told her.” Tommy dropped out of school after the 6th grade and eventually pursued a life of crime until he met Sister Goldie in Venice Beach, CA. when he was 17 and on the run from the law. Sister Goldie led him to the Lord and the Azusa Street saints. His career included security work, and he was a licensed Private Investigator.

This book is FANTASTIC. I could not put it down. This is about the Azusa street revival and how it is to return in 100 years which is now. It is already starting in China and going to be all over the world until Christ returns. This book will build your faith so high and cause you to believe in a GREAT GOD that nothing is impossible with Him. I LOVED it and will read it again and again.

The Book of Acts Today

The stories of the Azusa street miracles at the turn of the twentieth century have always fascinated me. There fore when I was given the chance to review this new book on the subject I was pleased to accept.

Tommy Welchel was 17 and on the run from the law when he came in contact with one of the women who had been part of the Asuza street ministry. She took him along to meet some of the other people who had been involved in this and he had a profound meeting with God. This changed his life completely. In this book he recounts the stories told by the elderly people he met. He is the last living link to Asuza street.

This book is simply written and yet every word packs power. Page after page recounts the miracles and the way in which they completely changed the lives of all involved. Many thousands of people were healed and then became involved in the ministry. There was not doubt in anyones mind that these miracles would not happen. The book recounts living proof that God still performs miracles today. As the cover blurb says, this brings the book of Acts into the present day and this it does. There is power in the Holy Spirit and God wants to use the Spirit to heal people and to see the saved.

This book is inspirational and provides hope to Christians worldwide. During Azusa it was prophesied by many different people that there would be another, even bigger, revival would happen 100 years after Azusa Street. THis has given me even more assurance that we should be praying for all those who need healing today.

WHERE IS THE LORD GOD OF ELIJAH ?

Reading this anointed book I could feel in the spiritual realm, the wind of an approaching storm. A storm of revival. Turning each page I could almost see the reflection of lightning and hear the distant rumble of thunder. I read of one supernatural healing after another, and of creative miracles so powerful that they could only come from a God who created the universe.
Today many in the church are being struck down with incurable diseases, while chains of addictions are keeping countless others in bondage. Like many of you my wife and I have wept until almost no tears were left, but by reading this book together we have encouraged one another in the Lord. Reading several chapters before our morning prayer session has placed within our hearts the spirit of expectation. No longer are we satisfied with church as usual, but like Elisha picking up the mantle falling from Elijah, this book has motivated us to ask the question, where is the Lord God of Elijah?
This is not just a history book of Azusa Street, for the the Author, Tommy Welchel in the early 1960's documented the spoken memories from individuals who were actually there, and he shares these amazing stories with you. Before Asusa Street ended, William Seymour, the leader of the revival prophesied of an even greater revival yet to come. A revival so far reaching and of such magnitude that it would be even greater then Asusa. He stated that this revival would take place a little over 100 years after the ending of Azusa.
For the perfect storm to form every necessary atmospheric conditions must fall into in place, and to have a revival so powerful that it will change our spiritual landscape, there are many conditions in Gods word that apply as well. This book contributes to those requirements, because the stories contained within its pages create an aroma so enticing that you will hunger for the supernatural. Where is the Lord God of Elijah? The Prayer of David: In Times of Trouble

This book was a great inspiration to me spiritually. His love for the Psalms helped me to gain a more intimate walk with God by reading the Psalms in a much more personal way. I was richly blessed spiritually by his faith and love for God, Israel and the Scriptures. His knowledge and understanding of world events and leaders is tremendous. This book helped me to focus on my own prayer life and how better to pray for the USA, our leaders, the world and Israel. I am very thankful to God that I read this book and want to encourage others to read it.

The Supernatural Anointing in You

Why do we place certain 'spiritual' men and women on the forefront of the anointed. "Yada, Yada, Yada" is the title of Chapter 3. I am not really suggesting you begin reading Chapter 3, 'but'! This book is alive with testimonies of spiritual lives, and WOW the words of this author are so needed for today. As Jesus died for us He left us with Himself in us. Oh, I should not preach, but this book is so needed for each Christian who is empowered with the Holy Spirit and is anointed to serve in supernatural ways. Read it and love it!

I found this book very insightful. It really gave me a very realistic understanding on how to listen carefully to the voice within to know which dreams are meant as messages and how to interpret them for my spiritual betterment. Many dream interpretation books are simply dictionaries with meanings for objects in dreams. This book cultivates your own thought and participation in the interpretation, and I think it gives you a much better way to hear the message in important dreams. - CMJ

I absolutely love Dreams: God's Voice in the Night! It is a very easy to read, informative paperback book that held my attention from beginning to end. Barb gives her readers a lot of wonderful incite into the world of nightly dreams and I love the way she shares many of her own dream experiences. I am so glad I purchased this book and highly recommend it to everyone who would like to understand the messages and determine the meaning of their dreams.

Wow! What a thoroughly engaging book. It gripped me from the beginning because in some ways it reads like a novel rather than just a typical "teaching" book. It is very insightful and packed with a fresh perspective on dream interpretation.

This book has just the right blend of Biblical examples, personal narratives and practical teaching on how God uses dreams to speak to us. This is not a dream symbol book - it offers SO MUCH MORE than that. It is very rich with content and almost made me feel like I went back to school and took a class from my favorite teacher. Truly fascinating - I loved it!

A Good Edwards book, but definitely no the best

I enjoyed this book, but I can honestly say that it is not as good as Gene's earlier title The Divine Romance. The depiction of Christ on the cross in The Divine Romance is much more gripping and edgy. While reading The Day I was Crucified, I felt like Gene was in a hurry to get Christ to the cross. Gene's other writings are notoriously more patient in delivery, and hence more dramatic. This book had the feel of being in a extreme hurry to get to the end.
I would also like to throw in my two cents on several of the statements used here on Amazon in the above description of the book. I think they are a bit grandiose. I quote "The Day I Was Crucified stands out as literary excellence apart from virtually any books known in the modern era." That is a bit of an extreme statement to make from a book that is brand new on the market. Only time will tell this. Another "There has never been a more stunning, more heart-touching piece of Christian literature to be found in the English language as is The Day I Was Crucified." Who is writing this? This is rather self promoting if you ask me.
Is it a good book? YES, but is it an instant classic? Hardly! As I said above, if you want to read a more dramatic depiction of Christ on the cross, read The Divine Romance by Edwards. It is a much more powerful depiction.

For Those Who Are Down and Out

I really enjoyed this book. When I started it, I didn't know what to expect. It literally kept me at the edge of my seat. It just kept on going. I seriously couldn't put it down, I had to know how it ended. It helped me, in my personal faith. It showed me another side of Christ. This book is incredible to me. It may sit there on the shelf, and people will pass by it. But then comes along someone who will see it, pick it up, look at it then buy it. Would it help them? It did for me. It gave me some hope in knowing that Christ gave himself up for me.

A wonderful, fictional account of Jesus' life

WOW, I really liked this book. Yes, it is fiction so some of the minor details are changed or fuzzy.....but the Message is there - and it is the timeless message of Jesus.....with parables, insights, and even humor. This is a wonderful peek into what Jesus might really say if He were to be interviewed.

Well written and easy to read. I highly recommend it for those who like Christian fiction.

I recommend this to anyone who is desiring to further deepen their relationship with our Holy Father. Dr. Booker explains with clarity and simplicity, some of the more difficult "pictures" from the Hebrew Scriptures (O.T.) I wish I had read this book when I became a believer 25 yrs ago.

Essential Reading

This book is Christianity 101. You will get a biblical understanding of the power of the blood of Jesus as well as real life demonstrations of this power. What was suprising to me about this book was the depth. Some of the power evangelists don't seem to know the bible that well, but Mr. Chavda really knows his stuff. Wonderful sections on covenant. While you're at it read "The Hidden Power of Prayer and Fasting" as well, which is an absolute classic.

Great teaching!

Powerful teaching on the blood of Jesus. Although the blood of Jesus is the most powerful redeeming force in all the universe, it is an under taught topic on the body of Christ. I appreciated Chavda's strong Biblical teaching on this subject and recommend this book to those that are digging deeper into this subject matter.
