About the Author
James W. Goll is the co-founder of Encounters Network - a ministry to the nations and the International Director of Prayer Storm. A great book to add to my library

I've been reading several different books on dreams lately. This is one of the better ones. James Goll and his wife Michal Ann give a well-rounded look at dreams from a Biblical standpoint, getting back to the Biblical belief that dreams are a key way that God talks to us. They cover the various types of dreams and their sources (not all are from God) and discuss how to distinguish the source of a dream, as well as what type of response the dream might be requiring from us (most often it's prayer or intercession). They also give lots of practical insights into the things that hinder or interfere with our ability to dream or recall our dreams and the things we can do to increase and encourage our ability to recall our dreams.

Of course no dream book would be any good if it doesn't equip us in some way to better understand and interpret our dreams. There is a ''dream dictionary' appended to this book and, all told, I believe it does an adequate job of getting the reader started in understanding God's dream language, through generous examples of various kinds. God speaks in metaphors - many are Biblical, some are plays on words or puns, some are simply personal symbols unique to our own lives. Part of the adventure is learning God's dream language for ourselves.

The authors are both highly prophetic, and I found the anecdotes that they shared from their lives - of their backgrounds, their dreams, and their failures and growth in this area of dream interpretation (and the prophetic in general) to be fascinating and very encouraging.

This book really helps to confirm a lot of what I already know about Dream Journaling and Interpretation. The authors are very Highly Recommended. I have read maybe about 5 in my life time and I always make sure I choose them wisely according to content. This is one that I would tell anybody to please purchase and read. 5 KUDOS!!!

A Classic!

I read the first 40 pages and then re-read the first 40 pages with yellow marker and red pencil in hand. It is so well worded and is a valuable book covering dreams. It is a great book!!! I am teaching a class at my church about dreams and using this as a reference book. I have studied dreams for 30 years, so dreams are dear to my heart. Michal Ann and James have written a volume well worth reading and studying. I love it!!

And for you! The Introduction of this book leads with Ephesians 4:11 one of my loving verses that always reminding me that I serve as a spirit-led pastor and teacher.

Excellant workbook for those soon to be married and those that have been married a short time. This book will give you biblical answers to questions you may have as a couple and help you live a God fullfilled marriage. God wants marriage to last til death you do part.

INVALUABLE

Marriage is a BIG DEAL and these preparation sessions are invaluable in helping create a solid foundation. Steve and Mary include ways to get past some blind expectations to develop a deeper understanding of what it takes to build a strong marriage. In addition, they discuss creating relationship with future in-laws and honoring your own parents. They also provide a detailed biblical background for each discussion.

After hearing them (Steve and Mary) speak, this book is an extension of their desire and work to build strong marriages and families,

There are plenty of examples and questions and though this book requires more work than other marriage preparation books, it is well worth it. The 3 & 6 month follow up exercises are also a great opportunity to adjust after some time together.

Our daughter used CALLED TOGETHER for her preparation and we have referred to it often when counseling others.

Healing, Blessings, and Freedom, is so edifying, comforting, inspirational and necessary for the soul, the metaphoric terms and quotes from the bible, depicts, to heal, to bless, and to be emancipated, TD. Jake's is my favorite author and word smith, his, intellectual capacity in articulating and gesticulating the English Language, is always so melodious and contagious, his, vocabulary and writing skill is beyond measure . The way he enunciate, the bible, is, so comprehensive and shows off his innate qualities, as a pastor & motivator, that it was ordained by God for him to possess such a talent, showcasing his extraordinary qualities, to comfort,this nation, who are hungry for God's Word, his testimonies, his, themes are so befitting, throughout life's struggles, perusing, any one of TD. Jake's, as always given me a peace of mind, and a message, that I yearn for. After, his message, you are, at a different panoramic view in your life, to trust and believe in the higher power, who continues to sustain us, throughout life's obstacles. I strongly, recommend, this book, and all of his books for that matter.... continue to expand on your gifted talents!!!

I really enjoy T.D. Jakes' devotionals in "Healing, Blessings, and Freedom", but I gave the rating three stars instead of five because it's difficult to journal in a thick paperback while sitting propped up in bed at night, which is where I journal and read at the end of my day. I wish it would have been a hardback book since writing would be much easier to do in my situation.

A Novel of the War in Heaven with Revelation Truths

This is/was a tough book for me to review and read. I typically do not read novels, but stick to spiritual growth for the building of the body of Christ, and theology of the Word.
The 'story' as told by Kenneth Zeigler is quite unique. It grabs your attention! We know of the Word in the Book of Revelation, but this novel, that is part of the Tears of Heaven series is enlightening, easy to read, a story to tell, and a book for the Bible novel reader. It is a book for 'prayer warriors'to read. The novel stage is set with the reference from the Book of Revelation 12: 7-9.

I was so excited to recieve this book

This is a MUST read. If you have read the first book you must read this one. Moving, exciting, emotional roller coaster. As soon as I took this out of my mailbox I sat and read for over an hour. The battle continues into Heaven. Lucifer and his hatred for humans continue in this story. I felt as if I was standing in the middle of this war. I do suggest reading the first book though. For those of you who have read it, you will be hanging on the side of your seat with the last chapter of this book. For me the Spiritual cliff hanger has me wanting more! Please consider this on your must read Christian books. I just pray this author releases another book soon!!!!

Science Fiction verses the Supernatural

Ken's first book was better in that it was more credible and less sci-fi. I find it hard to marry the supernatural with sci-fi, but that could be just me. I am not a sci-fi fan and found myself skipping the technical stuff. God and Jesus in this book reminded me more of how Sherrylyn Kenyon portrays the gods of ancient Greece in the Dark Hunter series. More like glorified men. Jesus at best comes across as a demi-god.
It was said of Jesus that...
"It was as if a portion of God's divine spirit had been placed into a vessel of flesh. He was well known and respected by this assembly, the only true son of God the Father - Jesus the Nazarene." And "the angels are to treat humans as they do God's firstborn."
I believe it fails to give Jesus the glory found in Revelation (Rev 1:9-18) (Rev 19:11-16) and I feel it lacks the majesty and sanctity of the true Heaven of Revelation.
It strays into the impossible realm of human warfare in both Heaven and Hell, complete with weapons and killing, explosions, atomic bombs, and rubble and all the hallmarks of a normal war along with space travel, worm holes and high tech gadgets. Meanwhile God and Jesus sit back and agree with Satan not to interfere. God is basically held hostage in the Holy Place along with any humans who seek refuge with him, until those humans get angry enough to rise up and fight. Heaven it seems, is not a safe place for angels or humans and God is pretty weak and without discernment.
Again the Holy Spirit is reduced to something that powers spacecraft.
"At some point he would have to switch to internal power - the temporal capacitors. In essence, it was the power of God's Holy Spirit captured in a high energy containment field." end quote.
Can the Holy Spirit be captured and contained? That the Holy Spirit is reduced to a power source, and not truly God, co-equal with the Father and the Son, continues to concern me deeply.
I cannot seriously recommend this book because at the core of the Tears of Heaven series, the Holy Spirit is just raw power and Jesus a created being. If as a Christian this would bother you, then don't read it. If it doesn't or you want to check it out, go ahead. It is a good read, even though I don't agree with the theology at all. Missing in this series is the worship of Jesus. If Jesus is not worshiped, then who is the Jesus of this Series? Not mine. Not the bible's that's for sure and that really matters.

This book helps us examine our hearts in regard to our spouse. It helps us to realize that some of the ways we're used to dealing with situations is not always the best way to deal with them or the way He would have us to deal with them. One of the things covered is not to nag but instead to pray & pray some more. We need to realize that even though we don't see our future God does and we need to have faith to believe He will bring us through things that arise.

There is also a study guide area in the back of the book to work on.

An engaging and Godly discourse on forgiveness and self love

Nothing in my entire 45 years has done as much to free me from the horrible "secrets" I thought I had hidden. To sin is one thing; to remove yourself from God because of the guilt of your sin denies the very essence of why He came, died and rose. Thank you, Bishop Jakes, for helping me to see that even naked, with all of my sins exposed, I am still fearfully and wonderfully made, and deeply loved by God.

Finding Peace in a Troubled World

In "it's time to Reveal what God longs to Heal" J. D. Jakes challenges the reader to be open and totally honest exposing an authentic self. I appreciated Jakes vulnerability as he reveals his personal struggles in an effort to help the reader experience God's loving touch. He writes with compassion and gentleness as he delivers the message of man's sinfulness, God's love and his forgiveness.

I particularly found the chapters dealing with friendships and relationships insightful and helpful. Accepting imperfections, experiencing the bonding of friendship, surviving crash relationships, and understanding emotional feelings are subjects address in these chapters. I was reminded again of the importance of self affirmation and becoming a person of purpose.

Conflict, the process of transformation, and a look at the church all prepare the reader for the final poignant chapters centered on the Lord's Supper and the sacrifice of prayer.

Jake's writing is bold, potent and relative, convicting and powerful. The selected scripture passages under-gird the strong message of healing and of the God given opportunity for a second chance. We will be disappointed at times when we trust in people. God is the only one we can really trust in. Trust is a process just like losing trust is a process.

The first step in trusting, is forgiving others. Then God can work by his Holy Spirit in the person that we have lost trust in. Remember all things are possible with God.

Not comprehensive

This book is not as comprehensive as other reviewers claim. There is a lot of information about the feasts which is not in this book, because it is mostly about how we can celebrate the feasts today, and what meaning we can get out of it for our New Testament relationship with God. What there is very little of is prophetic teaching concerning the Fall Feasts, which Messiah will fulfill when he returns. It is not in this book. Messiah fulfilled the Spring feasts of Passover, Unleavened Bread, Pentecost, so also he will fulfill the Fall Feasts; you will need to look elsewhere for that info.

Opening the Hidden Treasures of the Feasts of Israel

Jill Shannon opens the mysteries and hidden treasure of the biblical feast of Israel in "A Prophetic Calendar." The book is intended to help restore to the Gentile church a deeper understanding of the foundations for the covenants given to Israel.

The book provides significant revelation into the seven festivals of Israel's annual calendar, all of which foreshadow the life and ministry of Jesus the Messiah. These feasts include: Passover, Unleavened Bread, First Fruits, Pentecost (the Feast of Weeks), The Feast of Trumpets (Rosh Hashanah), The Day of Atonement (Yum Kippur), and The Tabernacles. Each of these festivals is described in detail.

At the top of the list another celebration is listed: The Sabbath (Shabbat) is set apart to be observed each week throughout the year as a time of prayer, reflection and rest. Shannon also talks about the feasts of deliverance, Hanukah and Purim. Each of these provides the reader with information, enlightenment and encouragement. I found Purim (Esther's Feast) particularly interesting and filled with insight. I also appreciated the practical Passover Resources (Haggadah) provided in the appendix.

Jill's writing is a creative work, written in layman's language, easily understood, Holy Spirit inspired, and anointed. Her writing is compassionate introducing God's prophetic plan for restoration and renewal providing a blessing for Jew and Gentile.

Jill Shannon provides indepth information along with personal testimony about the "Feasts of Israel." The book links Old and New Testaments in a way that helps the reader to better understand God's purpose for the feasts and ministry of Jesus. Since Jill Shannon grew up in a Jewish home she is able to give first hand information about Biblical celebrations, Jewish history and traditions. Anyone desiring to learn more about the Lord Jesus and His biblical feasts will be blessed by this book.
